This is what runs through my mind on Sunday...

So hello February...you came in kind of fast.

The Football Gods are smiling down on us...Beau is sleeping and we're watching the Super Bowl in peace. Watching anything in peace  is a rarity in our house.

Anyone else like the taste of fish oil capsules?  Anyone? Anyone at all?

I'm adding "streamline" to my 2010 goals.

My hands are so dry and cracked they hurt.  A lot.  Does anyone have any brand of lotion or home remedies they love for this kind of dryness?  Thanks.

Ravel's Bolero is one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever.  Ever.

Note to self:  Life is all about balance.

I never thought that I'd be staying up until 2 am on a Saturday night after a party, cleaning out and reorganizing my pantry.

70-hour work weeks are the pits.

I broke down and finally jumped on the BlackBerry bandwagon. It comes Wednesday.  And it's smoky violet.  I'm excited.

Here is something more exciting than a BlackBerry...my hair is long enough for a ponytail (with the aid of a few bobby pins.)

We're leaving Beau with a non-family sitter for the first time this weekend.  And while I'm not really nervous about it, I'm a little unsure.  But it has to be done sometime.

Where did this weekend go

I'm glad I'm not a teenager right now.  Of course I'm sure my parents said the same thing when I was a teenager.

I'm feeling a bit antsy right now and wish I lived in a city. I really wish I lived in The City.

I'm still 99.99% sure I could not be a stay-at-home mom.

To my friends and family on the snowed in East Coast...Wishing you better weather and clear roads

Wherever you are and whatever the weather, I always wish you blue skies and green lights.

Enjoy your week everyone!

Photographic Friday

You can't beat a brand new box of crayons.
My favorite color is brick red.  Always has been.  Always will be.

This is what runs through my mind on Sunday...

I haven't had any Diet Coke today.  I was feeling great until about an hour ago.

It's funny how you think and re-think things and they just sit in the back of your mind.  And then all of a sudden they all come together and make sense.

I made homemade vegetable soup today.  Apparently I thought I was feeding an army.

The weather is glorious.  Almost open window season.

My wants tonight: To rearrange my house; a new bed; a hot bath.

I'm determined to try a new recipe this week.  I don't know what yet.

Toddlers are like bees.  At least my toddler is.  He flits around, a few seconds here, a few minutes there, exploring whatever catches his fancy.  Tonight cooling racks are catching his fancy.

I'm listening to poker talk right now...it's beyond me.

It's amazing what people believe just because.  Do a little investigation.  A little independent thinking.

This is the extent of my thinking tonight.  I'm calling it a day.

Happy Week to all!

Bestowed and Bestowing: Happy!

Jill over at Jillie Side Up has deemed me happy. I am! Thanks Jill!
10 things that make me happy, in no random order...
1. A super hot bath. So hot I turn pink.
2. The
windows open, a warm breeze, and the radio on.
3. An icy cold Diet Coke.
4. Sleeping in the sun.
5. Views of my mountain. One day I'll hike to the top.
6.
My boys.
7. Flip flops and painted toenails.
8. Long phone calls and letters and chatting and catching up.
9. Creating.
10. Getting done what I set out to do.

I'm passing this award on to these happy bloggers...
